At Jay Peak, winter has a habit of over-delivering. Its celebrated “Jay Cloud” can transform the mountain into a powder playground, with fresh snow settling across winding trails and wooded glades. Ride Vermont’s only aerial tram towards the summit, then swap ski boots for swimwear at the enormous indoor waterpark. It is the kind of place where winter feels wild, generous and wonderfully far removed from everyday life.

In February 2026, two Society members travelled to Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Queen of the Dolomites, as the Olympic flame returned exactly 70 years after the 1956 Winter Games. Beneath the towering Tofane, they watched the first-ever women’s Alpine Team Combined, Giant Slalom, Skeleton on the historic Eugenio Monti track, and Curling inside the iconic 1956 Olympic stadium.

The two members had barely known one another before the trip, but returned as firm friends and are already planning their trip to the French Alps 2030 and Salt Lake City-Utah 2034 Winter Games. It is a perfect example of how Bermuda Snow can bring people together through a shared love of winter; creating extraordinary adventures.

By our second MLK Ski Weekend, Bermuda Snow had grown from curious newcomers into a force on the mountain. Attended by fifteen society members - twelve travelling from Bermuda and a further three from overseas!

At the 29th edition of this international winter celebration, our Bermuda group became the second-largest contingent at the entire event. A small island in the Atlantic had made a very large entrance.

Blue Mountain delivered the perfect backdrop: ski runs sweeping down the Niagara Escarpment, a lively village glowing after dark, fire pits, music and an atmosphere that continued long after the final lift had stopped. 

Days on the snow flowed into evenings of laughter, dancing and new friendships. This was Bermuda Snow at full volume.

Every tradition begins with a first set of tracks. January 2025, our club trip was born!

Bermuda Snow arrived at the 28th MLK Ski Weekend with six members and the feeling that something special was beginning. Blue Mountain was the ideal place to start: welcoming beginner terrain, runs illuminated for night skiing and a village that turns the foot of the mountain into a winter festival after dark.

The resort began in 1941 with founder Jozo Weider’s ambitious dream of creating a Canadian ski destination. The MLK Ski Weekend began in 1998 as a group of friends trying something new and has grown into an international celebration of winter sport, connection and Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s vision of equality.

Two of our members clicked into skis for the very first time, passing through the wobbly-legged “Bambi” stage before discovering the exhilaration of their first proper turns. Between lessons, shared runs and the infectious energy of MLK Weekend, this small group created the blueprint for everything that followed.
